What a week this was. Busy as all get-out, I’ll be looking forward to this weekend — I’m overdue for some down-time. If you took advantage of the sale I was running this week, thanks. We appreciate your business and I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience with the system.
Now let’s move onward…
So one of the things that holds people back from taking their next step forward, from executing what may turn out to be something huge… is fear of the unknown. Not being sure of the result –whether it’ll be overwhelmingly successful, or whether it’ll be overwhelmingly dismal.
The first creates a fear of success for some people, the second, a fear of failure. I always know when someone’s afraid of succeeding, because they ask inane questions like, “What if the system overloads?” or… “What if I can’t handle that much activity? (when current activity is close to zero)”… or “What am I going to do with all these orders if this works?”
These kinds of questions are mental set-ups for people to develop logical and acceptable excuses for themselves to NOT do something.
But here’s the thing. There’s only one science that allows you to analyze exactly what happens and how to make it better next time. It’s called “hindsight.” Hindsight is an exact science, but the problem with hindsight is, you don’t get to apply it, until AFTER you do the thing that’s making you uncomfortable, not before.
Most people spend far too much time “waiting” for hindsight, instead of “creating” hindsight. The game is played like that on purpose. It’s just life’s way of weeding out the weak. Call it natural selection, call it lead generation for success, call it whatever you want… but just remember, you cannot connect the dots moving forward.
And here’s a video of someone who never relies on “hindsight” for his success. It’s my son, Casey, and if you look on this link and then click on the “Making Strides” story (with the picture of the kid running), I think it’ll put you in a great frame of mind to enjoy your weekend, and to enjoy your life. Here’s the link for the video:
